The work problem

For every customer enquiry, Sun Flower advisors had to search insurer documents and compare premiums, benefits, exclusions, eligibility and waiting periods. More insurers meant repeating the same checks, while consistently explaining options suited to each customer's needs was also difficult.

Technology and data

AccessOrange organized plan information in SharePoint and defined required customer inputs and recommendation rules. The internal Insurance Plan Advisor, built with Microsoft Copilot Studio, filters plans against customer information and generates a branded PDF comparison report. Advisors review the AI recommendations before advising customers. Delivery included user acceptance testing, bug fixes, accuracy checks and staff training.

Results

According to AccessOrange's case study, customer staff and overseas colleagues participated in testing and early usage. The customer confirmed that the plan comparison process for each enquiry could be at least half faster than manual work. This was customer feedback from testing and early usage, not an average processing time measured across company-wide operations or a result from automated underwriting.

Limits and open questions

User counts, measurement samples and comparison accuracy figures were not disclosed. Adding historical claims and medical case data remains a future plan.
