The work problem
The Adecco Group said the data, systems and organizational knowledge its employees use for work had until now been spread across dozens of tools. As a result, sales staff and recruiters could not see the information they needed for daily work in one place. The company said it had already deployed agentic AI in recruitment workflows in 10 countries that represent 50% of its revenues, and this time it set out to extend that foundation to employees' daily work as a whole.
Technology and data
On September 15, 2026, the Adecco Group announced that it would expand Salesforce's Agentforce Coworker to more than 40 countries following a pilot in the UK and France. Agentforce Coworker is an enterprise AI teammate built into the Salesforce platform. It runs on Anthropic's Claude models and supports sales, recruitment, and client and candidate engagement work. The company said it has an unlimited Agentforce 360 enterprise agreement with Salesforce. With Coworker, sales staff and recruiters find priority prospects, prepare sales briefs, enrich prospect data and view the status of leads across teams. Recruiters can select candidates and then directly launch the pre-screening agent, the recruiter agent or the onboarding agent. According to the press release, Coworker draws on context from more than 2.5 million agent and candidate interactions accumulated since April 2025. CEO Denis Machuel explained that teams now use a single interface that knows candidate history and client context for the moments when human judgment matters most.
Results
The Adecco Group said the expansion brings its agentic AI foundation into the daily work of 27,000 employees. CEO Denis Machuel said the pilot showed strong adoption within a matter of days. He added that Coworker lets sales teams and recruiters focus on work only people can do, such as engaging more deeply with candidates and clients. The company explained that the tool gives employees one point of access to data and knowledge that had been spread across dozens of tools.
Limits and open questions
The pilot's effect is described only through the CEO's qualitative remarks, and no performance figures such as usage rates or processing time were disclosed. The rollout schedule for the more than 40 countries and the scope in each country were not disclosed either.
