The work problem

Accor is a hospitality group operating more than 5,800 hotels and resorts in more than 110 countries. A guest's trip runs from finding a destination and comparing hotels through to managing bookings and post stay requests. Alix Boulnois, Chief Commercial, Digital and Tech Officer at Accor, said the kind of concierge attention that remembers a guest's name and anticipates their needs had for decades been the privilege of a few. The company said it wants to make that attention available to every guest, everywhere, at any hour.

Technology and data

Accor started a pilot of ALL Concierge, a conversational AI travel companion, in July 2025 and announced its full launch on 24 September 2026. Within a single conversation, guests can get destination suggestions, research and compare hotels, check property information such as breakfast hours and restaurant menus, move to booking, and ask about existing reservations. The tool recognises returning guests and answers based on their preferences, past stays and loyalty profile. It confirms bookings directly and resolves most requests on its own, while a member of the support team can step in at any moment for complex inquiries or specific requests. It is available around the clock in the ALL Accor app, on the ALL.com website, and on WhatsApp and iMessage. The company has also introduced a separate AI companion for hotel teams called The Butler.

Results

The company said the pilot, which started in July 2025, handled more than 1 million guest conversations. It said testing showed that guests use the tool for much more than customer service, turning to it for inspiration, discovery, comparison and support throughout their journey. Building on these results, it said the full launch extended coverage to 11 languages and 5 major platforms. It said the average response time is under a few seconds. The app currently offers the service in 4 languages across 5 points of sale and is set to reach all points of sale by the end of the year, while ALL.com offers it in 11 languages.

Limits and open questions

The company says the tool resolves most requests on its own but gives no figure for the resolution rate or the share handed to staff. The source also does not say which countries or channels the more than 1 million pilot conversations came from.
