The work problem

Fujitsu sales teams spent time searching a broad product portfolio and dispersed expertise to assemble customer-specific proposals. New staff struggled to find product information, while experienced staff also had to identify and reconcile current sources. Proposal preparation reduced time available for customer relationships and strategic planning.

Technology and data

Fujitsu used Azure AI Agent Service within Azure AI Foundry and Semantic Kernel to connect specialized AI agents with an orchestrator. Fujitsu Kozuchi Composite AI interprets user requests, retrieves knowledge from multiple internal sources and synthesizes proposals. Azure AI Search supports retrieval and organization, and the agent also gives new staff product information and guidance. Sales-team feedback refined usability during the proof of concept. The tool handles proposal preparation so sales teams can devote time to customer engagement and tailored activities.

Results

The Microsoft customer story reported a 67% increase in sales-proposal creation productivity after the agent launched. Sales teams said it helped fill knowledge gaps and strengthen customer relationships. Lessons from this internal project feed other Fujitsu AI initiatives. Automated strategic planning and more complex agent collaboration were described as future expansion areas.

Limits and open questions

The source does not explain how the 67% productivity improvement was measured or give the sample size. Approximately 38,000 users refers to Fujitsu AI tools including this agent, not the proposal agent's standalone user count.
